Following President Lula’s election, our client, a prominent player in the shipping and logistics industry in Brazil, faced significant uncertainties from potential policy changes and economic volatility. Under these circumstances client needed an intelligence report of all high-priority risks, just before Brazil’s 2023 election.

These factors introduced a sense of instability among investors and businesses alike. Recognizing the need for actionable insights into the Brazilian market within this evolving context, Riskey conducted an open-source intelligence analysis to identify potential risks. We conducted a thorough risk analysis to define the likelihood and impact of each risk under existing circumstances.

One of the priority risks that Riskey’s risk management experts identified with high impact and the likelihood was the risk of power cuts in Brazil. One of the reasons was due to the frequent storms. Client cut 12% of costs by investing in UPS, energy-efficient technologies, agile communication protocols, and preparing for disasters with state-of-the-art weather monitoring systems after Lula was elected as the President.
